About Non-Formal Education at Brno for you
Non-formal education refers to learning that takes place outside the formal (school-based) education system. Unlike formal learning, its main goal is to focus on what people truly need in life—developing skills for everyday living. It is based on personal experience and responds to the needs and interests of the participants.
Non-formal education emphasizes a holistic approach, supporting the development of the whole person—including not only knowledge and skills, but also emotions, values, and personal growth.
A Functional and Unique Model for Engaging Young People from Disadvantaged Backgrounds
Over the years we’ve dedicated to developing non-formal education, we’ve noticed something that perhaps only those who have experienced it with us truly understand. At our projects, no one judges your appearance, no one questions your orientation or the colour of your skin. Non-formal education is a powerful tool for fostering natural inclusion in society.

"The Oxford debate at school helped me realize the importance of mutual respect. It's important to listen to others and hear the other side. Even if our opinions don't match, it doesn't mean they're wrong."
"I learned how to involve young people with fewer opportunities in Erasmus+ projects and how to design suitable activities for them."
"This experience has made me more confident and less afraid to speak my mind."
"Before the project, I was afraid my English wasn't good enough, but I found out that what's more important is to stop being shy and just speak."
"The workshop left a big impression on me. It’s one thing to read these stories, but something entirely different to hear them in person. I was close to tears several times. Thank you for what you do!"
